Welcome to the final week of the Third Quarter! This Friday, March 17 marks the end of the quarter which is  followed by Spring Break March 20 – March 24. In this week’s Family Update you’ll learn about the new DPAC Drip Shop where you can get all of your DPAC gear! We share important information on testing for high school scholars this week, book fair and spelling bee for elementary scholars, and more!

End of Quarter 3 & Family Teacher Conferences

Please remember that March 17 is the end of Quarter 3.  We encourage all scholars and families to check in regularly with your teachers about your academic progress. Family Teacher Conferences for Quarter 3 will take place on Wednesday April, 12.

Parent University – Sneak Peak 2023/2024

All DPAC Families are invited to attend our next Parent University on Friday, March 31 at 5:30pm.  DPAC leaders will share the exciting programs, CTE opportunities, clubs, and athletics you are invited to participate in next year. You will also get information on the new DPAC School App and improved communication methods to help keep you informed.

Grad Night is almost here!  All senior scholars are invited to join us May 25th-26th for Grad Bash @ Universal Studios.

Testing Updates

Wednesday, March 15th is an important testing date for all DPAC High School Scholars. ACT and PreACT Testing begins at 7:45am, scholars should arrive for breakfast at 7:15am per normal school hours. Scholars will need their ID in order to test.  If your scholar needs an ID please see Ms. Rahib, Ms. Moser or Ms. Leon on Monday, March 13th. Cell phones will not be permitted in the testing environment and will need to be checked into the Dream Room before testing.

  • 9th/10th Grade: Pre ACT
  • 11th grade ACT: Please bring your Chromebooks charged from the night before and your charger
  • 12th grade: Graduation Requirements Checkpoint will be on campus to review their status for graduation and to plan final Senior activities.

Elementary Specific Updates

Scholastic Book Fair

Our Scholastic Book Fair is an excellent opportunity for scholars to build their own library at home with books that they choose based on their interests! There will be something for everyone with comic books, picture books, suspenseful novels, and sports and science-based books. Hope to see you there, from March 7th – March 13th! If you don’t want to send your scholar with cash or cards, you can set up an eWallet for them to shop with! Spelling Bee

All year long, 3rd and 4th graders have been working on weekly spelling words to grow their vocabulary! If interested, they will be able to participate in a Spelling Bee to get them qualified for the Native Son Spelling Bee, taking place on April 8th, 2023! If you or your scholar are interested, please reach out to your teachers for more information.
