As we begin Virtual Learning together, I want to thank you in advance for the support you continue to provide to your scholar. This letter will map out how to support your child during our virtual learning phase. To view your scholar’s daily schedule, click here. To access this letter in Spanish, click here.
- Clever Accounts:
Your scholars will log on to Clever.com to access all of their online platforms. Teachers will have their Zoom Sessions available on their teacher page. Your scholar will be able to click on the appropriate image and go directly to the live session with the teacher. Please see the example below.
Clever allows scholars to access every online platform they need to be successful. They should not have to access any other websites.
Here are additional resources to help with accessing Clever.
Google Classroom will be used as an asynchronous library. This is where your scholar can access previously taught lessons. These lessons are not live, but rather recording of live sessions posted for scholars to reference should they need more time.
On Wednesday scholars will not have live class sessions with their Gen Ed teacher. Instead they will access pre-recorded lessons for Social Studies or Science, P.E, Art, and Music.
If your scholar has an IEP or receives any related services they may be logged on live with their ACT teacher.
i-Ready is an online platform that allows teachers to assign scholars lessons virtually. i-Ready has a diagnostic assessment that all students must take initially. This assessment is not graded and we ask that you refrain from assisting your scholar during this time. This assessment reads to scholars and is user friendly. We ask that you don’t assist so that we have a true picture of where your scholar is beginning the year.
i-Ready will be used to assign your scholar reading homework each week.
